Hmmm...well...okay

So we went to Winston Salem today for Beanz rheumatology appointment. I had really been looking forward to this appointment because of all the pain she has been having. The good news is: her arthritis looks GREAT! Everything is quiet as of right now. No hot, swollen, stiff joints. Also the fluid that had been on her knees at the last appointment is gone! YESSAH! The bad news: all the pain that she has been having is coming from joint hypermobility and femoral anteversion. There is nothing that can be done either. Just stop when something hurts and take Motrin and Tylenol. Well that's a pisser! So once again we take the good with the bad. I guess it's okay. We've learned to roll with the punches. She also got her flu shot today and had her labs done. SUCH a trooper!! This time not even ONE tear was shed! WOOHOO! And we got to go to Krispy Kreme after because she was such a good girl! So, unless something comes up with her JRA between now and February, we don't have to go back until February 12th!

GREAT news about the arthritis!! Jackson has the hypermobile thing too. :( Sucks. But like you said, we take the good with the bad. We go back in Feb. too!!

So happy to have "met" you online. I was so looking forward to hearing about her appointment today, it feels like we have known each other forever. I think we should just exchange numbers so we can txt. haha

YAY!! The Humira worked pretty quick didn't it? How are her eyes? We go back on Wednesday and I'm crossing my fingers & toes Jordan is clear. If not I don't know what we're doing. We see her rheumy next month, sooner if need be. Like to talk about her eyes and Remicade....

We go for labs on Wednesday too. They're testing J's fasting blood sugar. Her last 3 sets of random blood sugar have been high. Hopefully we're not adding diabetes to her list of diseases :(

Grrr! Doesn't it seem like it's always something? I'm so sorry about the hypermobility and that other thing. We haven't dealt with either yet, so I'm not really sure what to say. I'm glad that everything else looks good, though!

P.S.- Does Blogger "forget" that you're following people, too? Seems like I have to follow people 6 or 7 times before it sticks. Weird!

Courtney you are too funny! You gave me a good giggle :p
Stacey, Jenna's eyes continue to stay clear on the Humira. AMEN! It has been such a miracle drug for her. Let me know how J's labs go okay? Praying for her.
Danielle, seriously, Emily has ENOUGH! Let's all pray that she doesn't end up with these two issues as well! Poor button. I haven't had any issues with following. Must be you :)

That is wonderful that the JRA is calm. It seems like nothing in life comes without it's downside.

MusngMom6, LOVE the quote!!! So sweet! And yes, we have learned to take the good with the bad. So long as we have good...we can better handle the bad :)
